The young and beautiful McMaster student, Nicole Hemmer placed 4th in this years "Miss World Canada" pagaent. Nicole,a first-year kinesiology student is among 40 Canadian women that competed in the Miss World Canada pageant in Toronto last month. The winner of the competition was (Leah Ryerse) will represent Canada at the Miss World pageant in Ukraine this September.
She is not just a pretty face. Nicole spends a lot of time volunteering, playing sports and getting involved in her community.
"Hemmer has been involved in a long list of extra-curricular and volunteer activities. She played competitive basketball for 10 years. As a volunteer at McMaster Children's Hospital, she spent time with young patients "to help take their minds off their problems." She also works at McMaster's Facility Services as a key clerk.
